    Our next event is a Cross Country event, on 15th February 2026, at Greenfield School, Hartley Wintney for the Basingstoke Junior Cross Country League.

    We offer a comprehensive range of athletics and triathlon activities covering the Newbury and Thatcham area – including Track & Field, Road Running, Cross Country, and Triathlon Training.     How can I join Team Kennet Athletics and Triathlon Club?
    Team Kennet welcomes athletes of all ages and abilities from across Newbury, Thatcham, and West Berkshire. You can join by completing the membership form on our website. Junior members usually start from age 7, and we also run waiting lists for our younger age groups (Under 9s and Under 11s). Older juniors and adults can often join straight away depending on availability.
    When and where do Team Kennet training sessions take place?
    Our main training sessions take place every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:20pm. Sessions are held at Park House School & Sports College and at the Crookham Common Athletics Track. If a session has to be cancelled due to bad weather, we’ll post an update on the Team Kennet Facebook page and on our website.
    Who can take part in Team Kennet athletics and triathlon events?
    Team Kennet caters for everyone — from juniors through to senior and veteran athletes. Members can take part in a wide range of events, including Track & Field, Cross Country, Road Running, Sportshall, and Triathlon. Our teams compete in several leagues and open meets across the season, giving all members the chance to get involved and represent the club.
